Response

"It's a shame that the people who are listening to you the most are only interested in you because they want you and your peers to buy their product."

I do not believe this is a shame. I believe that we as humans have the basic instinct to please ourselves before others. Even if that means to pretend to be a buddy just so others will buy your product. People will do what they need to do in order to benefit themselves. Now, Do i think this is wrong? Yah maybe in some respects, but i believe that if the buyer was in the sellers position, he or she would be doing the same thing. Its something we do as humans.

My Cd Project

For my Cd project i chose to do the artist Michael Buble. He is classified under the genre vocal, but can also be said to have a little pop, jazz, and swing, in his voice. The majority of his songs are ones that were famous back in the 40's, 50's, and 60's. In this respect, i do not believe that his music reflects are generation. He sings romantic love songs and that is what people love about him. He does not sing songs from our generation, but people love him because he brings his audience back to the " good ol' days" when the biggest vocal artist was Frank Sinatra.
He gives people a chance to remember the hit songs from the past, while putting his own unique flair to each song. His voice is very unique and people love the way he interacts with his audience on stage. I would say that he is one of the greatest vocal artists of our time.

Elvis Blog

Yo...So we watched a video on Elvis in class on Friday and learned about how he changed the thoughts and attitudes of many Americans. He was an inspiration to many and was a major influence to the musical culture of ROCK and ROLL. More importantly I would like to give it up to my main guys, James Dean and Marlon Brando, who were seen as sexual icons to the television screen. Gotta love being Italian. In the word of the late Great James Dean, "Dream as if you'll live forever. Live as if you'll die today."

DREAMS
